Your data, your call

Privacy policy

This page covers what Pacific Wealth Desk collects, who sees it and what you can do about it. If you live in California, your rights come first.

At a glance

  • California residents can ask to know, correct, delete or opt out
  • Ads and analytics wait until you say yes to cookies
  • Up to three advisors can see a request, and they may pay for it
  • Calculator numbers never leave your browser

The details

How it all works, one stop at a time

  1. You can use your California privacy rights any time

The CCPA and CPRA let California residents ask what we hold, correct it, delete it, or opt out of sale and sharing, and we won't treat you differently for asking. People in other states may have similar rights. Ask through the contact page, or use the Do not sell or share my personal information page.

  2. We keep it light when you just read

Cloudflare sits in front of the site and can see requests and IP addresses. Calculators run in your browser, so what you type never reaches us or gets tied to you.

  3. We ask for more when you request an advisor

The form runs four steps: situation, finances, goals and contact. Name, email and phone are required, and we also ask for your state or region, what you need help with, ranges for net worth, income and investable assets, your main goal and timeline, whether you have an advisor now, and how you'd like to be reached. Answers are stored on our cloud infrastructure and emailed to us through an email-delivery provider.

  4. We share a request with at most three advisors

A person on our team reads your request and reaches out to confirm what you need. Then we match you with licensed advisors who specialize in California money questions, and at most three see your request. Advisors pay for these introductions, so they may pay for yours. Before buying, an advisor gets only a nameless summary of your region, ranges and needs, and your name and contact details come after they buy.

  5. We wait for your yes before ads and analytics

Ads and analytics wait for your yes on cookies, and until then Google Analytics runs in a denied, cookieless mode. After that we use the Meta Pixel, Google AdSense and Google Analytics 4, which can pass visit information to the companies behind them, plus Yandex Metrica, which helps Yandex Search find our pages, with session recording off. We treat Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of sale and sharing: Yandex Metrica never loads while it's on, and a request sent with it on gets marked do-not-sell in our records. Your cookie choices live in your browser only.

  6. We keep it only as long as we need it

We hold a request as long as it takes to make your match and to meet legal record-keeping needs. If you ask us to delete yours, we will, unless the law says we have to keep it. The form has a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile), a hidden honeypot field and rate limiting.

  7. We don't knowingly collect from anyone under 16

This site isn't meant for kids. If you think a young person sent us something, tell us on the contact page, the only way to reach us.

  8. We check advisors' CRD numbers at sign-up

An advisor gives us a name, a work email and a CRD number, and we keep those with the account. We look the CRD up in the public SEC record of investment advisers: it has to be listed, currently registered and match the name given. A personal email, or reported disclosure events, sends the sign-up to a person for review, and anyone who fails the automatic check can apply instead. Card payments run through a payment provider, so we don't store card numbers. Only advisors at SEC-registered firms can receive introductions; that is checked against the public record at sign-up and before each purchase.
